Purpose of Position:
Responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and analyses to verify conformance to industry standards and customer specifications to uphold stringent quality standards.
Qualifications/Key Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (engineering & manufacturing)
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and techniques is highly desirable.
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), to accurately measure and assess product dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), and radiographic testing (RT), as required.
- Execute functional tests and performance evaluations on equipment and systems to validate functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of quality discrepancies and implement effective solutions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
