Clerk: Database

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To maintain the geological database by capturing all relevant geological data to ensure accurate and updated data for the Resource & Evaluation Section.

Key Performance Areas:

• Accurately maintain and update the MRM Geological database as per standards and best practices.
• Enter data, validate and report on all assay concerning MRM data.
• Accurately track all samples from onsite collections to dispatch to internal / external laboratories.
• Monitor all assay results and ensure QA/QC standards are maintained.
• Prepare Geological reports as required.
• Maintain continuous improvement in data capturing process and reporting systems.
• Generate queries and reports of any assay data as required.
• Participate in Geology and mining production, audits and incident reporting investigations as required.

Requirements and experience:

• Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
• Certificate in Computer Science, IT or Database Management.
• 2 years working experience in an exploration and mining geology environment will be an added advantage.
• Valid Code B or BE/ CE Drivers License.
