Logistics Co-Ordinator

Description

Our client is currently in search of a talented and experienced individual to join their company as a Logistics Coordinator to be based in Walvis/Swakopmund. As a member of thier team, you will collaborate across various departments, working closely with Sales and Transport Managers. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating logistics schedules, liaising with transporters and forwarders, collaborating with internal procurement and operational teams to ensure efficient resource planning and utilization. Additionally, you will engage with customers to understand their needs and requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in logistics, business management or a related field, along with exceptional attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the in-country representative for Namibia.
• Manage the receipt and distribution of PTA stock at various warehouses.
• Oversee daily administrative functions.
• Update stakeholders on new projects in Namibia.
• Conduct site visits to mines.
• Interact regularly with logistics providers.
• Engage with local authorities regarding licenses and proposals.

Requirements

• Namibian citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in logistics, business management or a closely related field.
• 5-8 years of prior experience in the transport and logistics industry.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in import shipping.
• Knowledge of Inco terms.
• Established contacts with local transporters.
