Legal Advisor

Paratus Telecommunications currently has a vacancy for a Legal Advisor at their Windhoek office.

The position entails:

• Practicing preventative law, providing legal advice and assistance to management and internal departments.
  Draft and maintain internal policies and processes.
  Assisting management in understanding legal and contractual risks and mitigating those risks.
  Drafting, reviewing and revising contracts, ensuring it is drafted in the best interest of the Company.
  Be aware of and when required, become involved in contractual disputes with customers and subcontractors so that claims and disputes are handled in such a way as to achieve the optimum commercial advantage for the Company with minimum risk.

The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:

• LLB Degree
• 2 to 3 years experience in relevant field and industry.
• Admission as a legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia.
• Telecommunications / ICT industry experience would be an added advantage.
• Valid drivers licence is mandatory.
• Multi-tasking.
• Best practice in professional ethics.
• Work calmly and with precision under pressure.
• Listening skills.
• Quick turn around time.
