Reports to: Logistics Manager Location: Windhoek with regular travel to Lderitz and Walvis Bay
Job Dimensions:
- Develop and implement efficient logistics methods, including procedures, business tools, KPIs, and reporting.
- Ensure the safety of logistics operations.
- Conduct safety reviews and audits of logistics contractors in air, marine, and base operations.
HSE & Personal Commitment Statement:

- Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with relevant statutory and company HSE standards.
- Actively participate in safety awareness activities and Safety Committee meetings.
- Be responsible for achieving agreed objectives and corrective actions as defined in the contractor audit plan.
- Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct.
Activities: HSE:
- Promote a safety culture among logistics contractors.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure follow-up on findings closure.
- Implement and maintain safety lagging and leading indicators.
Methods:
- Develop, maintain, and distribute necessary logistics procedures.
- Ensure proper deployment and utilization of business tools for logistics activities (Dashboard, DAWINCI, Stock & Inventory).
- Develop, process, and report logistics KPIs.
- Ensure efficient interface with the Finance department for invoice tracking and timely payment.
- Issue regular activity reports.
Context and Environment:
- Exploration/appraisal drilling wells.
- Multiple logistics sites.
- Harsh environmental conditions.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure safe logistics operations.
- Efficient reporting on logistics activity: marine, aviation, logistics base, MGO to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- B.Sc. in IT Engineering, Industrial/Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics/Warehousing or similar industrial fields; experience in O&G is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proficient in MS-Office.
