PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To oversee the retail shop and generate sales by assisting guests in purchasing merchandise, and recommending all products that will yield financial profitability and deliver excellent guest service.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

• Grade 12
• 2 year's experience in a retail shop or Hospitality industry
• knowledge of merchandise, styling, pricing and Inventory Management will be an added advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist customers in selecting merchandise, suggesting additional items and upselling products.
• Process sales transactions, cashiering, billings and issuing receipts and changes in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining a high level of guest Service.
• Compile a daily sales report on target vs profit generated and submit it to Cost Controller.
• Assist in conducting inventory and ensuring adequate merchandise supply levels.
• Maintain the stock control, order request and par levels with a day-end report.
• Practice FIFO (First in First out).
• Recommend sales ideas for slow-moving products and merchandise that are close to expiring.
• Ensure all guest requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure that all guests are welcomed as often as possible
• Maintain Company standards and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.
