Description

The Manager of a Manufacturing Plant plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the facility. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the plant, from production and quality control to personnel management and safety compliance. The goal is to ensure the efficiency of the production while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of production.
  • Ensure the production schedule is met, and production targets are achieved.
  • Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with suppliers to maintain an adequate supply.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to maintain product consistency and quality.
  • Perform regular quality checks and inspections to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Document and maintain quality records to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage plant personnel, including production staff, maintenance workers, and quality control technicians.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

Safety Compliance:

  • Promote and enforce safety protocols, ensuring the safety of employees and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Conduct safety training, investigations, and maintain safety records.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement cost-effective measures to optimize production operations.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping for raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and manage stock rotation.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Schedule and coordinate routine equipment maintenance.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure the plant adheres to all food safety standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation for compliance and inspections.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the plant's budget, including cost control, resource allocation, and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in a managerial position, preferably in a plant environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
