PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To train, direct, control, motivate and lead a national sales team to exceed Rate of Sales drivers and performance targets in both retail and distributor outlets. To proactively negotiate, co-ordinate, plan and implement of sales brand activities in order to optimally serve our customers.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:


  • 3-year Degree/Diploma in Sales/Marketing.
  • 5-8 years experience in FMCG Sales, of which at least 3 years should have been on Management Level.
  • Knowledge and know-how of Sales Standards and Sales Strategies for FMCG.
  • Experience with National Sales would be advantageous.

KEY JOB OUTPUTS:

  • Develop each element of National Sales and Customer business plans.
  • Make decisions and execute to clear distribution, stock and operations blockages within agreed parameters.
  • Negotiation and maintenance of cooler space within trade.
  • Manage cost of sales down in region.
  • Plan, implement and manage budget and credit control for allocated cost centres.
  • Plan & implement annual budgets and manage accordingly.
  • Train, direct, control, motivate and lead the national Accounts & Telesales Operations Team to achieve performance goals.
  • Provide Manager Sourcing & Supply with a three-month rolling sales forecast for Continental Meat products in Namibia.
  • Propose monthly sales targets based on historical sales, planned promotion spend and sales potential per area / region.
  • Manage sales force incentive programme to drive overall business more for more.
  • Establish competitive activity monitoring.
  • Optimise incentives, deals and promotions structure with customers and ASMs in order to generate positive volume growth.
  • Develop partnership initiatives to grow sales volumes within Region.
  • Coach and support the operational sales team.
  • Facilitate effective counselling and discipline of staff.
  • Provide relevant on the job training and transfer of knowledge.
