Description

The Contract and Procurement Manager oversees contract and procurement activities primarily focused on drilling rig services, drilling wells services and equipment, logistic services and general services (purchase orders and contracts).

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in Contracts and Procurement Processes:

  • Collaborate with technical entities to develop contract dossiers and define contractual responsibilities.
  • Validate contract strategy and negotiate commercial bids.
  • Provide guidance on contractual matters to contract owners/entities.
  • Report and analyze statistics in coordination with the C&P Manager.

Execute Contracts Activities:

  • Maintain a list of qualified contractors/suppliers and assess market responses.
  • Participate in contract strategy validation, including pre-qualification of bidders and defining target prices.
  • Prepare commercial documents and invitations to bid.
  • Ensure alignment with HSE clauses, local content, and applicable legislation.
  • Conduct bid analysis and negotiation, leading to recommendations for contract award.
  • Participate in formal document signing and contract handover to partner entities.
  • Input contract data into databases and monitor ongoing contract status.
  • Participate in service quality meetings and prepare files for legal settlements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and participate in contract renewal discussions.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with company rules, local content regulations, procedures and applicable legislation.
  • Take necessary measures to prevent immediate threats to safety and exercise caution to avoid danger to persons and installations.

Requirements

Qualification and Background:

  • B.Sc. Diploma or equivalent post-high school qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • 3-5 years of experience in contracts within mining, oil and gas, or heavy industry.

Personal Abilities:

  • Strong human relations, problem-solving, and planning/organizing/coordinating skills.
  • Excellent command of English language and communication skills.
