Jnr Dispatch Controller

Description

Our client is seeking a Junior Dispatch Controller to assist in the smooth operation of their depot. In this role, you will work closely with the dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating the dispatching of shipments from the depot to designated locations.
• Monitor vehicle schedules and communicate any delays or issues to drivers and management.
• Maintain accurate records of movements, deliveries, and driver assignments.
• Liaise with drivers and customers to ensure clear communication and resolve any concerns.
• Assist in optimizing routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Provide administrative support to the dispatch team as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
