We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Audit Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Audit Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Audit team to conduct comprehensive audits.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and provide them with relevant insights.
  • Stay updated on global and local issues to deliver cutting-edge service.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures by examining records, reports, and operating practices.
  • Conduct tests of control and assess the overall control environment.
  • Perform required procedures according to work programs (e.g., substantive and analytical procedures).
  • Ensure audit documentation meets international and quality standards.
  • Communicate audit findings with managers or partners.
  • Draft audit reports and produce management reports for client discussion.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.

Taxation Duties:

  • Gather taxpayer information accurately.
  • Calculate tax computations, including Income tax, PAYE, VAT, etc.
  • Address taxpayer queries and resolve issues.
  • Assist with filing tax returns, either through ITAS or manual methods.
  • Handle tax registrations and related services.

Admin Duties:

  • Manage office admin tasks such as filing and reception duties.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed, including running errands.

Requirements

Audit Assistant Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting (or similar). Any work experience in relevant field would be an added advantage.
  • Audit as a subject is a must
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Must possess logic reasoning
  • Must possess knowledge of excel
  • Must be exceptional in calculations
  • Should have knowledge about accounting and audit standards
  • Must be organized and hardworking
  • Financial skill, reporting, and research skills
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and honest
  • Punctual, reliable and must possess strong communication skill
  • Prioritization skills, and time management
  • Flexible and willing to travel and work overtime
  • Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English
