The main tasks and responsibilities associated with the position include:

• Driving: Safely operating a delivery vehicle to transport goods.
• Following road rules, with any traffic fines covered by the employee.
• Loading and Unloading: Handling loading and unloading with care.
• Route Planning: Planning efficient delivery routes.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Item Verification: Verifying the accuracy of items before loading and confirming deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance.
• Performing weekly vehicle checks. Ensuring timely vehicle servicing.
• Record Keeping: Keeping records of deliveries, including receipts and customer signatures.
• Communication: Effectively communicating with the team on delivery status.
• Addressing any issues that may arise.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Any additional duties as requested from time to time.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric.
• 2 to 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (PDP)

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Attention to detail.
• Punctual & Deadline-oriented.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
