PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Administers the operations of a store, orders, receives, and verifies, issues and controls all food and beverage consumable and non-consumable stock of the lodge. Provides information to and assists operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- Grade 12.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a storekeeper role.
- Previous hotel storekeeping experience will be an added advantage.
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, MICROS, PMS system (Opera) Materials Control
- Valid drivers licence
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Determine and establish the required quantities required on a daily/weekly basis per every stock item in-line with the minimum/maximum stock holding levels.
- Ensure adjusting of stock requirements based on operational requirement and demand, especially business trends and seasonal availability of product.
- Prepares purchase requisitions to ensure on time ordering.
- Receives goods from the various suppliers as per the required standard procedure.
- Continuously maintains inventory on minimum/maximum stock holding levels.
- Maintains files and prepares reports for proper records keeping.
- Exercise general control over all activities in stores.
- Ensure the safe keeping both on quality and quantity of materials.
- Conducts daily/weekly/monthly stock counts according to operational requirements.
