PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To provide unique unforgettable tours and recreational experiences at Chobe Water Villas on the Chobe and Zambezi River. To show guests important places, flora and fauna and share the history and facts of the Zambezi region.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
- Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism (Level 3/Level4) or NATH certificate in guiding
- 2 years guiding experience.
- Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on flora and fauna of the area
- Valid Skipper license
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Conduct boat transfers for all arrival and departures to and from the Lodge.
- Conduct scheduled & guided tours as requested by reservations.
- Create a positive and lasting guest experience and impression of the Lodge Brand according to the Safari and Tour Guide operating standards.
- Responsible for boat safety and guest safety by conduct safety briefings.
- Assist in welcoming groups on arrival.
- Maximise sales during check in and during the guests stay.
- Assist the reception with attending to guests where necessary.
- Collect feedback from guest after activities and use that to improve the quality of service.
- Inspect boats and report all faults to maintenance.
- Organise and leading tour excursions.
- Responsible for daily boat safety checks and cleaning.
- Control all activity OE and keep record of such.
- Perform any other reasonable from Line manager, Ass/GM
