Description

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for leveraging their skills to provide our salespeople with the necessary resources and information to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. This role also involves managing administrative tasks to streamline the sales workforce. Customer retention is a key component, and the successful candidate should thrive under pressure while maintaining a friendly and relatable demeanor with customers. Self-sufficiency, a willingness to learn from mistakes, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. Proficiency in Excel and reporting is a valuable asset.

Reporting directly to the Sales Operations Manager, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor sales and required documents for FTTH (Fiber to the Home) orders, and assign sales team members to relevant tickets.
  • Update opportunities with any missing or incorrect information.
  • Ensure the sales team is well-versed in completing processes on our system.
  • Handle sales reporting and perform general administrative tasks.
  • Provide assistance with customer inquiries.

Requirements

Education:

  • A diploma in administration is advantageous.
  • Matric qualification is required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • ICT experience.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • 2-3 years of sales administrative experience.

Required Key Competencies/Attributes:

  • Familiarity with the Splynx system (Advantageous).
  • Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
