Position summary
Introduction
Responsible for performing and managing aggressive growth in all Corporate and Commercial sales aspects, focuses on Institutional Markets in the attainment of Institutional and Pension Funds in liaison with the overall sales targets and growth of assets, CRM and client service, SMEs and specific regulatory Insurance institutions like, Life and Short-Term Insurance Companies, Medical Aid Funds and growth within the business from LISPS, Financial Advisors & Brokers. Should be focused on strategic planning, as well as managing company resources and applying them toward attaining the company's objectives. Ensure that the organization maintain a consistent trajectory of growth, while avoiding obstacles that arise from a constantly shifting market.
Job description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Manage the relationship between the company and its customers/clients.
- Growth of income & AUM in Corporate Commercial channel in line with CAMs budget;
- Attend to all product and portfolio enquiries from LISPS, Financial Advisors & Brokers on any unit trust funds on CAM platform including wrap portfolios.
- Generate leads, deposit and fee sales growth, including new client acquisition within Corporate Commercial channel, cross-sell and retention
- Ensure customer satisfaction and focused should be on organizations feet on street sales as well as financial advisory services
- Responsible for the operations of a company's sales force, development and implementation of annual sales, monitoring performance of teams and sales goals, and meeting with other company managers to ensure that business objectives are executed properly and right on schedule.
- Assume ultimate responsibility for the maintaining of up to date client contact details, distribution addresses and client correspondence (CRM).
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the companys CRM
- Assume ultimate responsibility for the distribution of client communication.
- Undertake desk-based research to identify new lead opportunities including leads from Capricorn CVP.
- Research and deliver intelligence that will inform proposition development for new and existing clients
- Strong client liaison skills, project management and team leadership.
- Maintain existing client relationships and aggressively grow new client base.
- Preparing, putting together and updating presentations, tender documents, questionnaires, due diligence documents and any other investment proposals, sales documents and sales initiatives.
- Take responsibility for the administration of all new business pitches, due diligence and client report back meetings.
- Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials;
- Attend to all product and portfolio enquiries from Corporates, SMEs, Life, Short term and Medical Aid Funds on any unit trust funds and segregated mandates.
- Perform new business pitches and presentations to LISPS, Financial Advisors & Brokers.
- Assist the Executive Officer with new business development initiatives which may include preparing and supporting events, investor visits and meetings
Customer Service:
Corporates & Regulatory Insurance Clients:
- Attending to all client queries;
- Provision of monthly performance numbers and related information to clients.
- Facilitate onboarding of clients;
- Retain ultimate responsibility for timeous delivery of Quarterly reports to Life, Short term and Medical Aid Funds and ensure accuracy thereof.
SMEs
- Facilitate application and onboarding of new SME clients,
- Assist the Executive Officer with new business development initiatives which may include preparing and supporting events, investor visits and meetings.
- Perform new business pitches and report back presentations to Corporates, SMEs and Regulatory Insurance Clients.
- Attend to any other task as directed by the Executive Officer.
- Attend internal Economic Committee meetings.
Customer Service:
Wrap Portfolios:
- Prepare quarterly factsheets of wrap portfolios
- Schedule and host quarterly meetings with Brokers that we administer wraps for.
- Attend to all queries on wraps and monitor portfolio rebalancing
- Assist with periodic review of 3 rd party funds listed on CAM platform with the view to recommend new funds to the platform or remove existing ones
General
- Take responsibility for all new SLAs with Mancos & LISPS
- Facilitate application and onboarding of new LISPS and Brokers including wrap portfolios for Brokers
- Attend all local networking events like Sanlam/SP Annual Bowls Day and Sanlam/SP Investment Summit and/or any other event hosted by any LISP
- Perform new business pitches and presentations to LISPS, Financial Advisors & Brokers.
Customer Service
Pension Funds:
- Liaison between Asset Consultants and CAM;
- Preparation of Due Diligence packs;
- Attending to Asset Consultant queries;
- Provision of monthly performance numbers and related information to service providers of Pension Funds, i.e. Consultants, Actuaries and Administrators including Funds data for inclusion of Asset Manager Surveys;
- Ensure that CAM Funds appear in all major Namibian Surveys for Asset Managers
- Facilitate onboarding of Pension Fund clients;
- Retain ultimate responsibility for timeous delivery of Quarterly reports to Pension Fund clients and ensure accuracy thereof.
Other Institutions
- Facilitate application and onboarding of new Institutional clients
- Assist the Executive Officer with sales initiatives which may include preparing and supporting events, investor visits and meetings.
- Prepare presentations for new business pitches and report backs to Institutions and Pension Funds.
- Attend to any other task as directed by the Executive Officer, including but not limited to client servicing for LISPs and a selected pool of cross segmental clients such as IFAs and Corporates

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record of Sales success & experience in financial services industry in particular the Corporate, Institutional, LISP & Broker environment
- B Com/ Marketing/ Economics or Investment Management
