Position summary

Introduction

The primary purpose of the role is to successfully drive retail banking sales across all products through the branches and other support departments in accordance with agreed Retail Bank Budgets. To coordinate and drive both in and outbound retail sales through branches. To administer and ensure compliance with all sales practices within the branch network whilst maintaining required productivity levels within the retail sales teams. To identify Sales opportunities by utilizing and mining internal data as well as using market intel to input on product customer value propositions. To generate leads for new business and customers and to analyze both the Profit and Loss statement and Balance Sheet for retail banking and make recommendations on sales growth.

Job description


  • Provide training to the retail salesforce.
  • Provide opportunities to Source accounts of small businesses and as well as households to the retail teams.
  • Achieve Retail sales targets
  • Guide sales officers and introduce clients to them
  • Organize the execution of sales promotions and campaigns.
  • Support retail branches to make presentations to clients where possible.
  • Conduct sales meetings and forums with branch team to drive and report on sales progress and execution/ Traction and ready reports coming from such meetings for management with recommendations on plans to close existing sales gaps.
  • Maintain stability in the smooth functioning of the sales activities in branches.
  • Maintain knowledge on all bank products and services and assist in resolving customer queries.


  • Minimum requirements


    Bachelors degree in Business or related field

    At least Five (5) years of banking experience within in the Retail banking Sales environment.
