Description
The Onshore Infrastructure Manager in the oil and gas industry is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, development, construction, and maintenance of onshore infrastructure projects. This position requires specialized expertise in infrastructure management, construction, and maintenance to ensure the efficient and safe operation of onshore facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Planning and Development:
- Develop and implement onshore infrastructure plans, including pipelines, facilities, and related projects, in line with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Oversee the design, engineering, and permitting processes for infrastructure projects.
Construction Management:
- Manage construction activities, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with construction specifications.
Maintenance and Asset Management:
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies for onshore infrastructure assets to maximize their operational life and reliability.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs and coordinate repairs and inspections.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all onshore infrastructure projects and operations adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations as needed.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage budgets for infrastructure projects, construction, and maintenance activities.
- Allocate resources efficiently, optimizing costs while maintaining quality and safety.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and local communities, to facilitate infrastructure projects and address concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of infrastructure projects, construction activities, maintenance efforts, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, including engineers, project managers, and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety, environmental science, or engineering; master's degree or relevant certification.
- Extensive experience in HSE management within the oil and gas industry, with a strong technical background.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, with specialized expertise in lifting and rigging, logistics operations, and equipment safety.
- Strong leadership, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in conducting technical risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of HSE management software.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform field visits and inspections.
