An Onshore Operations Worker (Technician) in the oil and gas industry is a vital team member responsible for executing a range of tasks critical to safe and efficient onshore operations. This role combines technician expertise with skills in logistics and lifting and rigging, contributing to the overall success and safety of onshore activities. Key Responsibilities: Lifting and Rigging:

  • Expertly control and oversee lifting and rigging operations, ensuring secure load handling and attachment.
  • Apply advanced techniques and equipment to prevent accidents and equipment damage.

Logistics Operations:

  • Manage logistics operations with technical proficiency, encompassing material handling, inventory management, equipment movement, and coordination with other teams.
  • Utilize logistics principles and technical knowledge to optimize material flow, reduce downtime, and enhance efficiency.

Equipment and Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, perform routine equipment checks, and coordinate with maintenance teams for necessary repairs and servicing.

Safety Compliance:

  • Implement and adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and industry-specific safety standards with a strong technical understanding, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Identify and report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents promptly.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of operations, logistics activities, lifting and rigging procedures, and safety checks with a focus on technical accuracy.
  • Report incidents, near-miss events, or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and logistics personnel, providing technical expertise to achieve operational goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or training in lifting and rigging techniques.
  • Prior experience in onshore operations within the oil and gas industry, with a technical background.
  • Proficiency in logistics operations, including material handling and equipment movement, combined with strong technical knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to follow safety protocols with a technical understanding.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions and demanding onshore environments.
