Auto Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Diagnose vehicle problems using advanced diagnostic equipment and your technical expertise.
• Carry out a wide range of automotive repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission fixes, brake replacements, electrical system repairs, and more.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Replace and source necessary parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Conduct post-repair tests to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs and services performed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing explanations of repairs, estimates, and addressing any questions they may have.
• Keep the workshop and tools clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Stay informed about new automotive technologies and repair techniques through training and continuing education.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Have a valid Drivers license and PDP (will be doing Airport transfers from time to time)
• Knowledge of tourism would be a preferred
• German speaking will be advantageous
• Be available on weekends and public holidays for vehicle hand overs
• High school diploma or equivalent (Post-secondary automotive technology education is a plus).
• Proven experience as an auto mechanic, with a strong understanding of automotive systems.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Professionalism, punctuality, and a positive work attitude.
