PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To lead a portfolio of profitable brands that delight consumers and deliver on sustainable business and commercial growth objectives.
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the development and management of a Portfolio/ category strategy for the relevant portfolio of brands with a clear focus on sustainable, profitable revenue and market share growth, rooted in demand spaces.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
Honours or post-graduate qualification in Commercial/Marketing. Minimum of 12 years relevant marketing experience, ideally across a range of categories/FMCGs with some proven success in managing multiple brands and/ or a category.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
- Develops marketing strategies for a portfolio of brands with a focus on profitability, brand building and new product.
- Develop and implement brand home strategy to effectively support the overall brand strategy within commercial guardrails.
- Accountable for end-to-end brand performance within the cluster, including brand strategy, digital, innovation, brand development toolkits and all execution with support from the brand teams.
- Leads the articulation of the desired consumer experiences and journeys for the brand and the overall consumer experience delivery for brands .
- Leads the embedding of digital capability into marketing strategy to benefit the consumer .
