PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To maintain the swimming pools and surrounding areas to a four star standard
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- Grade 10
- 1 years experience in a maintaining Pools
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To ensure that the swimming pools are cleaned daily
- To do backwash of both pools daily
- Check filters daily and report any faults immediately
- Test acid and chlorine levels daily if required add pool chemicals once a week. Shock treatment must be done only on command of your Supervisor
- To repair sun loungers that are broken, clean and varnish them regularly
- To clean the pool daily and remove all leaves and dirt floating around
- To clean the lawns around the pool areas and ensure that this is always neat and tidy as well as walkways in your designated area
- To ensure that the sun loungers are all placed neatly on the lawn or under the umbrellas and cushions are put out at the start of your shift
- To ensure that the poles at the stairs and bridge are painted regularly and always in a good condition
- To ensure that the poles of the pool thatch area are always neat and tidy
- To ensure that the pool pump rooms on both sides are always clean, doors closed.
- Maintain, paint and keep the Kiddies park and surrounding area clean and tidy.
- To assist with repair work in the workshop or areas under the responsibility of maintenance
- Keep tennis court area clean and tidy at all times inclusive of that garden and hide-out area
- At all times be aware of and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way, which does not adversely effect other customers.
- To be continually aware of and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
- To attend meetings and training courses as required.
- To perform any lawful duty that management might require you to do.
- To work overtime if and when required. You will devote all your time during work hours to the business of the company and shall do all in your power to promote, develop and extend the business of the company.
- The company shall be entitled to transfer you to any section within the hotel or any other hotel in the group where it is deemed your services are required.
- As you are working directly amongst guests, your behaviour, attitude and manners must be flawless.
- To perform any reasonable task as requested by the General Manager.
- Ensure the required standards of personal hygiene, appearance and attendance.
