The role is responsible for the technical design, implementation and monitoring of IT and information security controls; procedures and policies as per group standards and industry / regulatory / statutory compliance requirements.

- Diploma / BCom / BSC / BTech in IT
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSE, MCITP etc.)
- CCNA Certifications / or CISCO experience
- SQL Database experience
- Enterprise Back-up Solution experience
- Firewall configuration experience
- Enterprise AV Administration experience
- VOIP experience
- Mobile security experience
- Linux Profession Certifications
- PCI DSS control implementation and monitoring experience
- Exposure to threat and vulnerability systems (Example Nessus, Qualys)

- Day to day security administration.
- Threat Assessments and continues monitoring.
- Periodically review security operations and ongoing reporting.
- Liaise with ISO on statutory, regulatory, industry and FirstRand Group compliance.
- Research emerging Information security risk
- Continuous learning to ensure that the correct tools and controls are in place to prevent incidents.
- Prevention, identification, isolation and closure of key information security incidents.
