Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flow Wrapper Machine Operator for a bakery's packaging division. As a Flow Wrapper Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the flow wrapper machine, ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of bakery products.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare the flow wrapper machine for production runs, including adjusting settings, installing necessary materials, and performing quality checks.
- Operate the flow wrapper machine during production, ensuring smooth and continuous packaging of bakery products.
- Monitor the machine's performance, detecting and troubleshooting any malfunctions or issues that may arise.
- Adjust machine settings as required to maintain optimum efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure that products meet the bakery's standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the flow wrapper machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with the packaging team to ensure proper coordination and timely delivery of packaged bakery products.
- Communicate any production or machine-related concerns to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Matric certificate).
- Previous experience operating a flow wrapper machine in a similar production environment, preferably within the food industry.
- Familiarity with the setup, operation, and maintenance of flow wrapper machines.
- Ability to interpret and follow production schedules, instructions, and quality control procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent product quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report any concerns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the production schedule.
