Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team. As an Experienced Merchandiser, you will utilize your strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and excellent communication skills to execute effective merchandising strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize sales and create visually appealing displays within our retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute product merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Set up and arrange displays according to planograms and guidelines provided by the company.
- Ensure products are properly stocked, priced, and labelled on the sales floor.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the inventory management team to restock merchandise as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create eye-catching displays and promotional materials.
- Conduct regular audits of the sales floor to maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with store management and staff to effectively implement merchandising plans.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, answering product-related inquiries, and offering recommendations.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify product performance and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and merchandising skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or training in merchandising is a plus).
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar merchandising or retail sales role
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising techniques, planograms, and retail store operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for visual aesthetics and product placement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Physical stamina to lift and move merchandise as required.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Must have a smart phone
