Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Syrup Maker to join our team. Reporting to the Syrup Maker Supervisor, the Syrup Maker will be responsible for preparing simple and final syrup batches in accordance with the production plan and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare simple and final syrup batches as per the production plan.
- Ensure the correct supply of final syrup to the production line.
- Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) on all tanks, piping, and syrup room equipment.
- Conduct standard quality tests to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform autonomous maintenance tasks in the syrup room.
- Maintain Health & Safety standards within the syrup room.
- Adhere to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with Science and Mathematics subjects.
- N3 qualification.
- Relevant previous experience, preferably in the bottling industry, will be an added advantage.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Good understanding of hygiene requirements.
- Proficiency in both written and oral English.
- Availability to work shifts and over weekends as required.
- Results-driven and process-oriented mindset.
- Forklift driver's license.
- Knowledge of 5S methodology and supply ways.
- Experience in backflushing syrup at the end of each shift.
- SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) experience.
