Description
Tenement Management:
- Oversee reporting requirements for each tenement, including compliance, preparing quarterly and annual reports/forms, ensuring general tenement compliance, and conducting due diligence.
- Maintain an up-to-date register of tenement reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with all tenement conditions, and liaise with relevant government agencies as needed.
- Manage tenement obligations to stakeholders such as landowners, farmers, and partners.
Geological and Tenement Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive geological reports, including tenement reporting obligations, to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Review and interpret geological data and stay updated with ongoing exploration results.
Data Compilation and Verification:
- Review historical data sets, compile relevant information, and verify data for upload into the geological database.
- Collaborate with management to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Geological Database Management:
- Assist the senior geological team in maintaining and updating the geological database.
- Organize and manage geological data, ensure data quality and consistency, and implement best practices for data management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or equivalent.
- Geological background, preferably in exploration.
- Desirable experience in tenement management in Namibia.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
- Familiarity with geology computer packages such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Ability to write geological reports effectively, conveying technical information clearly and concisely.
- Valid driver's license.
