Description
Our client is a leading player in the building materials industry, specializing in lighting, electrical, paint, tiles, hardware, doors, plumbing, sanitary, power, etc. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of the purchasing process for building materials, including order placement, supplier communication, and delivery tracking.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate prices, and maintain positive relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand materials requirements and ensure timely procurement to meet project timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing, and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Assist with contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing purchasing expertise and coordinating with other departments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a purchasing coordinator or similar role in the building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, suppliers, and market dynamics within the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
