Job Description

IN YOUR ROLE AS SUPERINTENDENT TREATMENT PLANT YOU WILL BE REQUIRED AMONGST OTHERS TO:

  • Promotes company policies and procedures relating to health, Safety, Security and environmental issues.
  • Provides technical production support to the fleet and Production Engineer to maximize utilization.
  • Supports maintenance at sea through provision of services, contractors, parts, materials and management of external services.
  • Recommends maintenance strategy to Production Engineer.
  • Develops and recommends standards, identifies and recommends areas for improvement.
  • Audits technical systems and standards.
  • Assists with the development of maintenance activity plans and budgets.
  • Determines and recommends improvements to engineering and equipment standards.
  • Aligns and recommends stock levels for stock items, insurance spares, and critical spares across the fleet.
  • Tests and evaluates new equipment.
  • Develops, recommends and maintains the generic work scopes for work at sea and in-ports.
  • Determines treatment plant equipment replacement strategies, scrapping of used items and obsolete stock.
  • Recommends fleet enhancement and equipment replacement projects.

Qualifications

DO YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS?

  • N6 or Technical Diploma in Engineering
  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years experience in relevant heavy industry (mining, marine or process plant)
