PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:



To carry out preventative maintenance schedules and general repairs and maintenance tasks in a prompt, safe and efficient manner.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES


  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in lodge/hotel setup.
  • Fault-finding and good knowledge of all lodge/hotel equipment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms.
  • Ensure that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
  • Inspecting grout and caulking.
  • Repair all guest rooms in accordance with the room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on rooms equipment as required and miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
  • Attend to all job cards promptly.
  • Report all technical faults to supervisor.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors .
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Maintain safety records as required by the relevant Namibian laws and regularly checks that all emergency equipment is in working order .
  • Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
  • Maintain an awareness of OHS&W policies and procedures.
  • Relief and assist in all areas during periods of absence or crisis.
  • Relief and/or assist in other areas as and when instructed by management.
  • Maintain Company standards and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as dictated by business volumes.
