POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To carry out preventative maintenance schedules and general repairs and maintenance tasks in a prompt, safe and efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 5 years practical experience in lodge/hotel setup.
- Fault-finding and good knowledge of all lodge/hotel equipment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms.
- Ensure that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
- Inspecting grout and caulking.
- Repair all guest rooms in accordance with the room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
- Perform preventative maintenance on rooms equipment as required and miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
- Attend to all job cards promptly.
- Report all technical faults to supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors .
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Maintain safety records as required by the relevant Namibian laws and regularly checks that all emergency equipment is in working order .
- Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
- Maintain an awareness of OHS&W policies and procedures.
- Relief and assist in all areas during periods of absence or crisis.
- Relief and/or assist in other areas as and when instructed by management.
- Maintain Company standards and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as dictated by business volumes.
