Evaluates a portfolios risk, makes final credit decisions, interacts with other departments regarding credit strategy, manage, coach and mentor team.

experience and qualifications

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma.
  • 5 to 7 years related experience.

Evaluates a portfolios risk, makes final credit decisions, interacts with other departments regarding credit strategy, manage, coach and mentor team.

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma.
  • 5 to 7 years related experience.

  • Evaluates and authorise without reference or overview credit proposals within limits of delegated authority.
  • Scrutinises and credit proposals above limits of delegated authority and add recommendations for senior management and/or respective credit committee.
  • Appraises the risk factor where excesses over arrangements within prescribed responsibility are reported and institute suitable action to protect the Group from exposure.
  • Ensures the implementation and adherence to all risk management procedures.
  • Ensures credit proposals meet FNB's standards.
  • Identifies and assess credit risks relating to new corporate proposals by ascertaining the degree to which lending principles and processes were applied in the formulation of the proposal.
  • Conducts formal coaching session with direct reports focusing on key areas for development.
  • Ensures each team member has a written Personal Development Plan and performance management agreement.
  • Contributes to the recruitment of team members and ensure well skilled and experienced people are hired in an equity compliant way and in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Celebrates success and reward and recognise the contributions of all team members.
