HR Assistant

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Support of the HR office
- To deal with employees' problems and questions in a confidential manner.
- Answer routine question, distribute and explain forms to employees such as companys code of conduct and ethics, policies and procedures
- Create reports for the HR Officer in order to create solutions for employees and managers.
- Prepare, process, and review a variety of documents
- Type variety of documents in drafts and final form
- Proofread materials for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Assist in processing unemployment verifications
- Assist on onboarding and offboarding process
- Assist in administering employees benefit program and activities
- Schedule meetings, sort/distribute mail, and maintain departmental files
- Maintain HR department supplies and process invoice for payment
- Support the recruitment process
- Understand and implement oral and written instructions
- Communicate updates to superiors orally and in writing
- Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with those contacted during the course of work operations
- Perform any other task or function as assigned by the employer.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field
- +2 year of experience as HR clerk minimum
- Must have knowledge of Namibian Labor Laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Local languages are a plus
- Organizational and analytical skills are a must
- Strong knowledge and experience in the use of resume databases or HRMS is also useful for the position
- IT Literacy
- High emotional IQ
- Excellent work ethic
- Naturally friendly , reliable , confident and capable of taking initiative
