Job Description
Exercises judgement where appropriate to direct and control the Printing Services of an operating plant. Assures all products are produced to meet all customers expectations within the existing plant budget.
Key Performance Areas
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Responsible for Plant compliance AIB (Housekeeping) standards and Supervise the job / work of the staff members in the sub-section.
- Exercise judgment where appropriate to direct and control the Printing Services when Receive / distribute printing requests to operators and preparing paper stock for printing.
- Estimating / Compile General Ledgers on printing Costs.
- Stock Control Printing material.
- Control and Maintain Print Equipment and peripherals.
- Provide general administrative support.
Skills, Experience & Education
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Grade 12 (Passed 20 point / 5 subjects with an E symbol in the English language).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
A minimum period of five (5) years experience in printing environment.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
Code B Drivers License.
PRE-APPOINTMENT TRAINING AS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE:
Technical know how of printing / binding equipment and Administration within the Printing Industry.
KNOWLEDGE:
Offset printing / reproduction / digital printing, Printing and binding techniques and graphic design, document layout and Microsoft Office products. Basic Accounting and mathematical Calculations.
SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal The ability to lead, direct and motivate others and resolve conflicts when necessary, Computer literate. Proficiency in pre-press activities and printing / binding techniques. Planning-, Organizing-, Time Management- and Controlling. Supervisory. Exceptional trouble shooting / problem solving / root cause analysis. Able to get work done through others and act with a high level of integrity and trust. Command and ability to maintain ones composure are key to this position.
