Primary purpose of this role
In Assurance, we serve the public interest by anticipating and independently assessing risk and identifying opportunities to enhance trust in business and the capital markets, in support of sustainable, long-term value creation.
You will primarily be responsible for a portfolio of audit engagements, focusing on providing assurance services in line with client expectations. Building and maintaining exceptional long-term relationships with clients and other stakeholders. Managing audit teams, taking responsibility for the performance management and development of team members, and managing engagement profitability.
Your role as an Audit Manager will be to coordinate and oversee all audit activities within your portfolio. Your responsibilities as an Audit Manager will include managing Trainee Accountants throughout the audit lifecycle.
What you will be doing
- Plan effective auditing processes.
- Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Inspect internal systems and controls.
- Assess risk management tactics.
- Perform audits of non-financial areas, like Health & Safety and IT.
- Report systematic errors or fraud indicators.
- Investigate specific issues regulatory bodies bring forward.
- Explain audit findings and recommend solutions.
What we require
- Candidate must be a Qualified Charted Accountant (Nam).
- 5 years audit experience within a medium to large audit firm.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedicated to teamwork and leadership.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Teams.
