PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to ensure the provision of accurate monthly financial management accounts & reports and to comply with all required statutory regulations & reporting standards. Also, to provide accurate Half year and Year end Packs and to assist with the completion of all Annual Financial Statements. To manage, guide and assist the Finance Department in the processing and reconciliation of monthly financial information.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- B. Accounting Degree with 8- years relevant working experience of which at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Good knowledge of the VAT and Tax act.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and practical experience as accountant / financial manager.
- Completed articles.
- Chartered Accountant.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Financial Management.
- Statutory requirements - Manage & execute all Taxation, VAT & WHTS processes & processing, ensuring accurate & timeous payment and liaise with Inland Revenue.
- Compliance & Reporting - Enforce compliance to financial & accounting policies and procedures by checking that monthly management accounts are completed as per required process.
- Cash flow/Debtors/Creditors/Banking.
- Accounting - Prepare / review reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Fixed Assets - Manage, upload & dispose assets where necessary on the system through the TL: Assets & Compliances.
- Leadership Accountabilities - Plan, organize and lead the department.
- Execute other duties as and when required.
