Industrial Electrician

Description

• Install, repair and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment used in production as well as manufacturing
• Provide routine repairs on electrical components
• Work as a team member or alone to complete projects
• Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes
• Make decisions based on technical documents
• Perform quality testing and inspections
• Running electronic tests and inspections, cleaning contacts on circuit boards, ensuring that systems are grounded and installing outlets, lighting fixtures and switches
• Perform preventative measures such as oiling motors, bending conduit and replacing old wiring in a industrial and manufacturing workplace
• To deal with field electricians actively

Requirements

• Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering N5
• Minimum of eight (8) years working experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Sound knowledge of the Electricity Act 2007
• Sound knowledge of the Regional Councils Act
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools and industrial equipment;
• Awareness of National electrical codes and regulations;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and decisions;
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical documents;
• Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling etc.;
