Description
- Install, repair and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment used in production as well as manufacturing
- Provide routine repairs on electrical components
- Work as a team member or alone to complete projects
- Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes
- Make decisions based on technical documents
- Perform quality testing and inspections
- Running electronic tests and inspections, cleaning contacts on circuit boards, ensuring that systems are grounded and installing outlets, lighting fixtures and switches
- Perform preventative measures such as oiling motors, bending conduit and replacing old wiring in a industrial and manufacturing workplace
- To deal with field electricians actively
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering N5
- Minimum of eight (8) years working experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Sound knowledge of the Electricity Act 2007
- Sound knowledge of the Regional Councils Act
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools and industrial equipment;
- Awareness of National electrical codes and regulations;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and decisions;
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical documents;
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling etc.;
