Main Purpose:

Our client is a large reputable Oil Company with a footprint globally with a presence in Namibia for over 40 years


Our Client is currently seeking a Territory Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that KPIs and deliverables are maintained at all times. The Candidate must be driven and should take initiative and work well with clients.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To implement pricing, rebate and discount levels approved by management and to make recommendations where required.
  • To monitor dealer margins (dry stock) and recommend changes if necessary.
  • To ensure all costing associated with clients are accounted for.
  • To ensure the collection of under recoveries- Credit management.
  • To monitor the level of Gross Margin after Variable Cost by customer.
  • To assist in the appropriation, commitment and liquidation of capital expenditure.
  • To give input on annual budgeting process, the consolidation of information.
  • To participate in the process of sales forecasting for the area assigned.
  • To ensure errors are corrected and reconciliations are done and ensure customer service delivery.
  • To conduct variance analysis/ business reviews on all sites in the area defined and compare to budget and take corrective action where necessary.
  • To ensure allocated sites take advantage of promotions and marketing activities to ensure marketing objectives are reached.
  • To collect all market intelligence and competitor activities, pricing strategies, opportunities for new sites for area of responsibility.
  • To ensure efficient administration, including asset control, within specified sales area.
  • Continuously look for alternate service station investment opportunities to grow the network.
  • To ensure assist in ensuring effective wet stock flows to site.
  • To ensure effective management of wet stock at all sites monthly, detailed investigation of all gains and losses.
  • To investigate and drive the resolution of SOC gains and losses where applicable.
  • To monitor error transactions, investigate and route to relevant areas for resolution.
  • To follow-up on all matters referred to other areas of the business for resolution.
  • To ensure constant adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and security standards, local by-laws, standards and legislation to minimise all risk pertaining to company assets and protection of life.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Sales and/or Marketing or Masters in Business Administration or equivalent with Commercial Law as subject being an advantage;
  • Driving License;
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role;
  • Industry knowledge will be an added advantage;
  • Proficiency in English. Proficiency in other Namibian languages will be an advantage
