Principal Accountabilities;

  • Ensuring that operating procedures for each key activities are in place, followed and are regularly updated to reflect any policy or operational changes.
  • Align on tasks with subordinates staff, training, providing resources, supervising and appraising for performance against plans.
  • Ensure that the depot activities fully support the customer operations by ensuring that there is continuous and timely pipeline transfers, bowser loading and receipt of product.
  • In charge of ensuring that risks to the operation are regularly identified, quantified and remedied and that operations in the depots are carried out at all times in a manner that is acceptably safe.
  • Responsible for ensuring that product loss is within control and monitored on a daily basis, prepares formal reports, deduce likely problems and effects immediate remediation.
  • Ensure contingency plans work and cover the risks of service disruptions to the customer
  • Ensure all waste oil collection management is done timeously and in accordance with legislation
  • Maintain all assets on site and manage all sub-contractors
  • Ensuring that the operating expenses for the Depots are reviewed monthly and appropriately address significant departures from the budget plan.
  • Coordinate facility safety and technical audits bi-annually for all Depots and inform Engineering of all identified issues for actioning.
  • Proposes innovative initiatives for effective and efficient operations.
  • Ensuring that product measurement is done in compliance with company, client and national legal requirements at receipt, storage and issue - including bi-annual calibration of all meters
  • Supporting the Field Manager in ensuring that the customer account is managed in accordance with the contract.

Requirements

  • An Engineering degree in relevant field or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory role for a Depot or Engineering Plant Environment
  • HSSE Qualification and any other relevant qualification will be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate with people at all levels within the company and within the Client organization.
  • Ability to manage self in the face of flexible work demands
  • Manage people of varying calibers with different expectations.
  • Managing maintenance plans and overseeing client fuel related projects
