Introduction

To assist the Manager Payroll in the provision of payroll shared services to all Branches/Business units and Group Companies and ensures that all payroll matters are carried out efficiently.

Job description

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs) PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

  • Meeting Payroll Deadlines.
  • Staff Loans calculations and batch.
  • Ensure accuracy of all home loan instalments.
  • Reconciliations and EPAC payments.
  • Ensure that all payroll transactions is carried out within the Banks policies and should comply with legislation and Bank Requirements.
  • Deal with staff queries and requests regarding Payroll issues.


LEAVE PROCESSING

  • Ensure accuracy of all Leave Encashment, Statutory Leave, Maternity and Unpaid Leave payments.

STAFF ENGAGEMENTS

  • Processing of new appointments, terminations and transfers.

RECONCILIATIONS/REPORTING

  • Monthly reconciliation of employee benefits
  • Attend to 3rd party payments


EMPLOYEE ADMINISTRATION

  • Handling of all client queries with regards to payroll enquiries
  • Actioning of diarized payments and special instructions

CUSTOMER FOCUS

  • Ensure that all clients are handled in a professional manner with accurate information about the Banks products and services when transactions are executed

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

  • Ensure proper record keeping and accurate payroll related filing
  • Issuing of duplicate PAYE 5 certificates on request

Minimum requirements

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the system and processing activities
  • Professional image and grooming
  • Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
  • 3 Years experience in a HR environment
  • Computer literate: (knowledge of Windows 2007, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word)

QUALIFICATION

  • Matric with Mathematics and Accounting as subjects
  • Tertiary education in Payroll Management/Human Resources
