Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the above-mentioned position to be based in Oshakati, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager . The incumbent will manage the Sales Team under his/her supervision to ensure all sales targets are met.
Key Performance Areas include, but are not limited to:
- Co-ordination and execution of all team activities
- Supervision and on the job training of Sales Consultants
- Timeous compiling and submission of monthly reports, budget controls and vehicle inspections
- Responsible for the maintenance and use of team vehicles as per FML guidelines
- Distribution of brands (forward share) / special events
- Promotion and merchandising of products as per promotional cycle
- Pro-actively build and maintain relationships with customers and consumers
- Ensure that staff are motivated and productively guided and managed
- Ensure that all staff adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Maintain sound Industrial Relations and discipline within all sectors of the region
- Support Regional Sales Manager with operationally required tasks as and when required
Preferable qualifications / experience/ skills:
- A minimum qualification of Grade 12
- A qualification in Sales and/or Marketing will be advantageous
- At least 3 5 years FMCG sales and promotional experience
- Computer literacy (MS Office package)
- A valid Code B/BE drivers license without any endorsements
- Pro-active, professional approach with high energy and positive stress-tolerance levels as the position involves flexi working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays in a high-paced environment
- Strong leadership and negotiating skills, with the capability to deal with difficult customers
- Ability to work independently as well as being a team player with the ability to lead and manage people from diverse backgrounds
- Good administrative skills and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Action orientated with a sound set of values
- Good analytical skills and sharp business acumen
- Must be able to travel extensively
