PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


To provide accurate and timely management accounting information, interpretation of information relating to financial and business management, and to facilitate the company in reaching financial and non-financial goals.


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Degree in Management Accounting with 5 Years working experience in management accounting.
  • CA qualification and/ or SAP knowledge will be an added advantage


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage, monitor and influence the process of cost control for entire business, by guiding and advising Cost Centre controllers on new budgeting techniques, efficient planning and cost control.
  • Forward monthly performance reports and compilation of management accounting pack to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist Operations Manager with monthly results, budgets, and profit forecasts to Business Unit Senior Management and Executive Management Team.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the interim and annual budgeting processes for the organization and the execution thereof
  • Carry out SAP functions: annual cycle reviews (master data maintenance), report writing etc.
  • Ensure the financial disciplines are adhered to by all managers in the company, specifically with regard to overhead expenses.
  • Report and advice on all major discrepancies (over and under-spending) requiring attention, and their impact on the financial performance of the company.
  • Set financial targets with Business Partners and monitor financial performance.
  • Manage, implement and drive all internal operational financial projects as and when required, as per project scope.
  • Conduct internal audits, visits to depots, provide skills training to employees working on the systems, and ensure accurate data management.
  • Develop Dashboard to drive the commercial strategy and advice on major discrepancies (over and under-spending) requiring attention, and their impact on the financial performance of the company
