Business & Project Developer Job

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To develop energy, storage, and water projects in Namibia. Responsible to define, establish and rollout a systematic market approach to identify and secure such new projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in business , finance, or engineering.
• Five-year business experience preferably in renewable energy business and project development.
• Commercial and technical experience with modelling and structing utility-scale PV infrastructure.
• A post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

New Business Development

• Identify and research new project opportunities.
• Systematically identify target industries and target off-takers.
• Create and manage contact and business development pipeline database.
• Establish, grow, and maintain relationships with key influencers, relevant stakeholders and potential clients and off-takers.
• Determine sales strategy to secure opportunities.
• Evaluate customers, competitors and other market influencers and ensure competitive advantages.
• Understand the renewable energy market including regulations, licensing, and project financing.

Project Management and Implementation

• Pursue, secure, and develop new business opportunities with the sole aim to finalize agreements.
• Execute the project management, review and reporting thereof.
• Manage tender processes.
• Assist in finding financing solutions.
• Review basic legal contracts.
• Assist with the risk analysis process.
• Identify issues / optimise with current or existing projects / companies.
• Assist in developing projects from inception to hand-over.
