PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To drive the payroll of the business with best practice through execution of strategic activities to create a healthy and productive workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma in Human Resources Management/ Finance and or related field.
- 3 - 5 years experience in payroll.
- SAP Payroll System Knowledge (Added Advantage).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Check that payroll information is processed and maintained as required by procedures and policies.
- Process and execute accurate payroll input for grades A-C according to pre-set pay dates.
- Work closely with Manager: Remuneration and assist with HRMS implementation, testing, maintenance, and security .
- Assist Manager: Remuneration in research, solving problems, perform scheduled activities, and liaising with service providers, Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports.
- Forward to the Manager: Remuneration for checking & processing EFT; Ensure that correct action codes are used in SAP to avoid duplicate payments to employees.
- Compile listing & letters to third parties for salary deductions & forwards them to the Payroll Manager for checking & then to finance for payment.
- Issues PAYE duplicate certificates as required & performs the tax year end recons and submit to the Receiver of Revenue.
- Do the General Ledger recon of ALL the salary control accounts & Controlling SAP Payroll entries to agree to payroll.
