The University of Namibia is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for a vacant position of Associate Professor: Pharmacy Practice & Policy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Policy, School of Pharmacy within Faculty of Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Hage Geingob Campus.
Specification
- Main purpose: to develop the teaching provision of the School and University, delivering high-quality research-led teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. To pursue excellence in teaching and pedagogy and to inspire others to do the same.
- Main duties: to teach undergraduate & postgraduate programmes, identify and lead opportunities for curriculum innovations, provide strategic focus and lead research activities in the Department, supervise and mentor postgraduate students, secure research funding, disseminate research findings and advise School Management on academic programmes, research activities and mentorship programmes.
Requirements
- A relevant Masters degree in Pharmacy Practice following following a clinical entry-level degree with minimum of 12 years clinical experience as well as a minimum of 3 years teaching experience with a cumulative record of seventeen (17) publications of which at least six (6) must be refereed scholarly works . Registered or registerable with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA).
