The University of Namibia invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacant Costing Officer Positions in the Office of the Bursar.
Specification
- The main duties of the position are:
- 1. Costing: Processing, maintaining and analyzing data used for costing determinations , updating the costing database when rates, rules or regulations are amended and so forth;
- 2. Cost allocations: Verifying the accuracy of the purchase orders, allocating costs to appropriate accounts and cost centers, resolving discrepancies with the procurement section;
- 3.Reporting: Providing departments with ad hoc cost centers' reports.
Requirements
- A Diploma in Accounting and Finance or Commerce coupled with at least a minimum of two years' experience in costing.
