Erongo Marine Enterprises (PTY) LTD (EME) is a proudly Namibian registered fishing company, based in Walvis Bay, and operates in the Horse Mackerel fishery. EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally.


We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to act as frontline custodian of the HR function at EME and ensure a fully functional HR department. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for overseeing all HR related activities, which include employee and stakeholder relations management, training and development recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits administration, employee induction and on boarding, probation and performance management, leave administration, HR policy development, review and implementation, and ad hoc duties as required by the industry and regulatory bodies.


Minimum Requirements


Qualifications and Experience

  • B Degree Honours or Masters in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology
  • A minimum of five (5) years Generalist Human Resource experience in employees and stakeholder management relations, payroll management, recruitment, renumeration and/or compensation benefits structure, performance management, training and organisational development.
  • Experience in blue collar industry with strength in industrial relations will be an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and agreements
  • Knowledge of Namibian Labour Law with specific reference to the Labour Act 11 of 2007 as amended by Act 2 of 2012.
  • Professional, intuitive, and analytical in approach to issues and projects
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a multicultural environment
  • Should have a high regard for confidentiality
  • Computer Literate (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in usage of the SAP HCM model
  • Language skills: Should be fluent in English and able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in an unambiguous manner (verbal and written).
