Job Description
Head: Sales Operations & Channel Development (Windhoek)
Reporting to the Executive Sales, the Head: Sales Operations and Channel Development will lead the Sales Operations Team and he/she will be responsible for the development and implementation of the sales enablement and operations strategy within Bokomo Namibia.
The successful candidate will have:
- Commercial awareness and acumen and an entrepreneurs mindset
- Detailed knowledge of Namibian customers, sales channels, reporting tools, CRM systems, online sales tools
- Proven FMCG track record with broad sales operations skills in channel development, sales training, process management, CRM, sales compensation, category management, forecasting, planning and sales reporting.
- The ability to lead a large team and to deliver strong sales growth in a complex multi brand sales Environment
Key Responsibilities
- Developing go to market models for products and trade marketing campaigns
- Defining and refining structured sales processes for efficiency
- Defining sales process steps to improve conversions, shorten sales cycles, and maximize wins
- Sales forecasting for goal setting, using past data and indicators
- Using internal data, along with market and competitor research, to help drive sales strategy and hit the numbers
- Using big data, complex data sets requiring sophisticated analysis, for advanced interpretation and predictive analytics to drive strategy and actions
- Managing technical tools and platforms, including CRMs (customer relationship management platforms), often in collaboration with IT
- Managing sales representative compensation plans and incentives
- Training staff in products, market, and processes for sales excellence
- Increasing reps' efficiency with leads, transactions, and time management
- Playing a key role in sales and operations planning (S&OP), a process where executives continuously align diverse functions in an organization
- Interpreting analytics and research for the company's understanding

Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Economics, Marketing or Sales
- Minimum of 10 years working experience in an multi brand FMCG environment
- Valid code B Namibian drivers license
- MS applications with advanced Excel and SAP skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate and convey key messages by phone, email and face-to-face
- Excellent organisational skills
- Personal resilience, with the ability to self-motivate
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines
- Ability to work under own initiative
