About the COO position
We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join our team as the COO who will take full responsibility over all company's operations and business aspects. You will work closely with the companies partners to determine the strategic direction of the company and creating a vision for success; you will then execute those plans.
Acorn started off as traditional accounting firm and in 2018 pivoted to specialize in providing outsourced financial management services to a group of premium clients, with a special focus on international companies who are setting up operations in Namibia.
We are looking to maintain our high level of client service and ensure our current client base remains strong while growing in line with our strategy. The team at Acorn consists of 2 partners, 3 financial managers, 6 payroll specialists, 5 accountants and 5 support staff.
COO responsibilities are:
- Manage the Acorn team and organize and engage subordinates, leading them and helping to develop a high performing team
- Manage internal systems and make sure the company is running smoothly
- Ensure that Namibia growth targets are achieved
- Ensure that current client base is extremely well served
- Manage the day to day running of the business
- Report to the partners on a regular basis
- Maintain trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders
- Stay informed about the current situation in the markets and industry of the company
CEO requirements are:
- Chartered Accountant
- 5 years post article experience
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Strong communication and confident enough to lead meetings
- String administration skills
