PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Procure materials and services and manage inventories for Hangana Seafood's use at the maximum end-use value per Namibian dollar spent and at the lowest total acquisition cost using the internal control procedures and standards by maximizing the use and effectiveness of the SAP Material Management Module.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Materials Management or Logistics Management
- 5 years experience in Procurement practices and procedures
- Degree in Logistics / Material management (advantageous)
- 2 years experience in procurement practices (advantageous)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Effectively Source goods/ items for area of responsibility
- Analyze and evaluates Purchase Requisition (PR) to ensure purchases meet requirements of HSF.
- Involved in capital projects planning, executing, and spending.
- Seek opportunities to minimize costs and maximize value at every step of the purchase to pay process.
- Minimize shortages taking cognizance of optimal inventory levels and supply chain constraints.
- Create & Maintain Vendor Applications on SAP.
- Engage and assist personnel at all levels on appropriate purchasing procedures and contract information.
- Monitor vendors performance to ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions. Takes necessary steps to resolve performance issues.
