Solar Electrical/Electronic Repairs Technician

Description

1. Repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems daily. 1.1. Work with Low Voltage and Medium Voltage equipment up to 33kV 1.2. Perform repairs on electrical or electronic equipment:

• Fault finding
• Disassembling/Assembling equipment
• Soldering
• Repair Wiring
• Clean
• 1.3. Test and identify faults 1.4. Read schematics and diagrams and do repairs from them 1.5. Assist other Technicians with repair 1.6. Complete documents associated with work done 1.7. Make recommendations for work to be performed 1.8. Travel to site to repair equipment (includes long distance driving) 1.9. Manual Tasks:
• Heavy lifting
• Remove/install components
• Remove/install equipment
• Move/Lift objects
• Clean work area
• Dispose of waste material
• 2. Manage logistics of parts, components, and equipment 3. Record keeping of items, goods and equipment sent/received related to work 4. Parts management, reordering of stock, receiving stock 5. Prepare items for shipping 6. Liaise with related parties to affect the transport of items, goods, and equipment 7. Perform duties and activities in such a way to advance the goals and ideals of the company

Requirements

Diploma N3 or higher in:

• Electrical Engineering General
• Electrical Engineering Instrumentation
• Or any qualification of the Electrical field
• 3-5 Years related work in his/her trade
• Read technical diagrams and do repairs from them
• Drivers license
• Proficient in English (speak, read & write)
• Advanced IT (networking and file sharing, basic coding)

Any other relevant qualification in Electronics/Communication/Mechanical, but with additional knowledge of electrical installations and safety.
